Falle, True Innovation Full of Hope and Dream to Free Indonesia from Mosquitoes

SurabayaVIVA Banyuwangi – Andy Suryansah, a young man who graduated from Polytechnic State Electronics Surabaya, succeeded in creating one innovation which brings new hope in eradication mosquito. This device, called Falle, is a mosquito trap that combines ultraviolet (UV) and audiosonic technology to effectively attract and trap mosquitoes.

“This idea started from my concern when I saw that many residents in my village, Kampung Dupak, Krembangan District, were suffering from dengue fever. I wanted to contribute to overcome this problem and find an effective solution to give to the community.” Andrew said.

Falle works by emitting UV light that attracts mosquitoes. This UV light is combined with audiosonic waves that mimic the sound of female mosquitoes, so that male mosquitoes are attracted to come closer. When mosquitoes enter the trap, they are caught and electrocuted.
