A 25-year-old female teacher named Zhang in Shanghai, mainland China, was recently reported by her husband, accusing her of cheating on a 16-year-old first-year high school male student. Screenshots of their conversations and intimate videos quickly went viral on the Internet. Unexpectedly, many “fake Teacher Zhang” accounts began to pop up on online social platforms, and they even started live broadcasts to sell goods and obtain rewards, causing many netizens to angrily accuse them of “having no bottom line for profit.”

Based on local media reports, starting from the evening of the 20th, many netizens discovered that the female teacher surnamed Zhang who was suspected of being involved had started a live broadcast, and directly wrote in her account introduction, “I just want to catch this wealth.” However, Its IP address is shown to be in Liaoning. Later, “Changsha Political and Legal Channel” stated that on the morning of the 21st, no information about the account could be found; staff from the Shanghai Cyberspace Administration also responded that they had not received relevant contact so far, and would investigate if any situation was discovered.

In addition, multiple “I am not Teacher Zhang” accounts have appeared on other social platforms, receiving a lot of abuse and defrauding a lot of rewards. Faced with such a situation, many netizens lamented, “This is obviously just to gain popularity”, “You must have a bottom line as a human being”, “These people will do anything for the sake of traffic and profit”, “It’s so shameless and challenges social order and good customs” , “This type of account should have been banned long ago.” According to the latest news, a large number of “fake accounts” have been blocked and banned by relevant social platforms.

In this regard, Zhao Liangshan, a lawyer from a Shaanxi law firm, said bluntly that if you just pretend to be “Teacher Zhang”, according to the provisions of the Mainland Civil Code, this behavior will constitute infringement of the female teacher surnamed Zhang, but it is not a crime; if you pretend to be an identity and spread False statements may be suspected of spreading rumors, disrupting public order, or may violate crimes such as fraud and defamation.

According to “China News Weekly”, the police are already handling this incident. The photos related to “Teacher Zhang’s Husband Inquiry Transcript” circulating on the Internet are not authentic. The relevant departments are still investigating and more information cannot be disclosed; there is also a suspected female teacher. No one can confirm the authenticity of the videos including kissing a male classmate goodbye and the male classmate’s parents beating Teacher Zhang. They have to be released after a follow-up investigation by the local education bureau.
