Specifically, yesterday Saturday, in the afternoon news bulletin of ERT, behind the journalists who were recording the report from the crisis in the Middle East, the Palestinian flag, falsified in terms of the order of colors, was shown next to the Israeli flag, which was correctly depicted .
The flag of Palestine that was displayed had the green and white colors “upside down”. It is noteworthy that such a flag does not exist in the whole world, therefore it is reasonable to conclude that it was not chosen by some human error, but was created in the wrong order from scratch.

It is noted that ERT, until today, did not publicly condemn the insult to the Palestinian flag by Joseph Vanger, despite the fact that it received angry letters from both the Palestinian embassy and the Palestinian community in Greece. Instead, he simply “took down” the controversial broadcast, in which the radio producer compared the Palestinian flag to the Nazi swastika and labeled all Palestinians “terrorists.”
It is recalled that at the beginning of the crisis, the responses of ERT journalist Eftychias Pentarakis from Israel were at the center of the reactions, which were characterized as “belligerent” and even caused a complaint by POSPERT. “Instead, we are watching warmongering broadcasts, without an eye, without any contact with the reality and the drama experienced by the people of the region and the horror of war emerges. Responses that suggest joy about the war, scenes with soldiers dancing and singing about the war operations that will follow killing civilians and children, gleeful displays of weapon systems and military achievements, descriptions that face the drama of war at the level of the playground” , the POSPERT announcement said, among other things, in October 2023.
At the same time, another complaint on social media, which remains unconfirmed as it has not been recorded and the excerpt has not been “uploaded” to ERT’s platforms, concerns the broadcast of the Olympic Games. Specifically, during a qualifying race for the 800m. women’s event, which also included Palestinian athlete Layla Almasri, the announcer reportedly did not mention the athlete’s country she was representing, only her name. We reiterate that this particular complaint is only circulating on a verbal level on social media and cannot be confirmed as there is no relevant record.
In any case, ERT is now in dire straits, as these reports show a strong and troubling tendency of the public broadcaster to take the Israeli side in the great crisis plaguing the Middle East.
