A message is currently circulating on WhatsApp with the title “Mauritius ICTA News”.
This indicates that new regulations are coming into effect regarding the control of messaging services and social networks. And that all messages and calls are recorded and saved by the authorities.
Contacted by the Media Challenge, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) claims that this is fake news.
