Successive errors from Sabar/Reza made Fajar/Rian lead 10-6. The match went quite fast, Fajar/Rian winning 11-8 within five minutes.
Fajar/Rian won the race to win 14-9. Fajar/Rian quickly won point by point and secured the first game with a score of 21-11.
Fajar/Rian accelerated with a 9-3 lead at the beginning of the second game. They entered the interval with an 11-4 advantage through Rian’s hard smash.
The match between Fajar/Rian and Sabar/Reza was relatively short-lived. Fajar/Rian again won points quickly and were 10 points ahead at 16-6.
Fajar/Rian won 21-7 in the second game. They made it to the final Singapore Open 2022 to face Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin.
This is the third final in a row for Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in the last three tournaments. The world number five pair were previously runners-up at the 2022 Malaysia Open and champions at the 2022 Malaysia Masters. Overall, they have reached the final seven times this year.
