Fajar/Rian Reveal Critical Moment Before Championing Malaysia Open 2023

Dawn Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto acknowledged the duel against Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang in the final Malaysian Open 2023 was a tough fight for them.

After being able to win the first game with a score of 21-18, Fajar/Rian had led 11-9 in the second game interval. But in the end they lost 18-21 in the game.

Entering the third game, a tight duel is still going on. The thin score continued until 10-9 for Fajar/Rian.

It was only at that moment that Fajar/Rian were able to win five consecutive points and finally won 21-13. Even though they won with a large difference in points in the deciding game, Fajar/Rian admitted that they had a tough challenge in the duel against Liang/Wang.

“That match was busy. In the first game we were able to win but in the second game we lost to their very good serve.”

“In the third game, our condition actually declined, but with great enthusiasm and determination we were able to maximize it and win the match,” said Fajar as quoted from a PBSI release.

Fajar also said he was happy with the support they received from supporters in Malaysia. Fajar/Rian feel that they have received a lot of support from the fans

“In Malaysia, thank God, our fortune is always good. We are comfortable playing here, more or less the same as Indonesia.”

“The food, the atmosphere, the atmosphere of the matches and most importantly the support at the stadium which is always for us if not against the host representatives,” said Fajar.
