Player Indonesian U-22 National Team Fajar Fathur Rahman performed well against Timor Leste at SEA Games 2023 Cambodia, Sunday (7/5). Following is the profile of Fajar Fathur Rahman.
Fajar appeared from the early minutes in the third match of the 2023 SEA Games Group A preliminary round. The coach of the U-22 Indonesian National Team Indra Sjafri entrusted Fajar’s figure to support the front line of the Garuda Muda squad.
Fajar was trained by SSB Bina Taruna in Rawamangun, Jakarta in 2018. He then moved to the Persib Bandung academy a year later.
Fajar then had the opportunity to study with Garuda Select in 2019. This made the Central Kalimantan Men’s academy interested in giving him a place for several months.
Fajar returned to study at Garuda Select before joining the ASAD 13 academy. His skills began to develop and entered Borneo FC’s radar in September 2020.
It took a year for Fajar to get a place in Borneo’s main squad. He finally made his professional debut in League 1 on September 4 2021 in the match against Persebaya Surabaya.
Slowly he is increasingly trusted by Borneo FC. In the 2022/2023 season, he was recorded as appearing in 25 matches with a contribution of two goals and one assist.
No doubt he was called by Indra Sjafri to the U-22 Indonesian National Team for the SEA Games. Indra’s trust was fully paid for by Fajar with four goals.
