Fajah Investigates: Love – Heartbreak, Self-Reflection, and Lessons Learned

In her podcast Fajah Investigates: Love she said last month that she is struggling with heartbreak. Fajah gives free rein to her emotions at the time. “It helps to cry, it provides relief. Even though it hurts a lot.” She has a different attitude now. The fitness guru has discovered that she ‘made a big fool’ of herself during her relationship with Patrick.

“From the moment I met him, my gut feeling said, ‘No, this isn’t him.’ But I overcame my doubts and intuition.” According to Fajah, the fact that she decides to ignore her feelings has to do with two things. “The first part was that he needed help, which made me feel seen.”

According to her, the second stumbling block in the relationship is that she allows herself to be blinded by all the things he does for her. “I had never experienced that in a relationship. He mowed my lawn, made coffee in the morning and cheered me up completely. I was impressed by that.”

Now that Fajah looks back on her past relationships, she realizes that she often makes the mistake of falling for ‘potency’. “I idealize and romanticize everything. I often turn it into a fairytale in my head, such as moving to Spain together in a romantic way. But you have to look at reality. It always looked different.”

Fajah’s life has its fair share of ups and downs. Enough fodder for a reality series, as it turns out:
