Faith and Understanding: The Educational Movement of Protestantism

Faith and understanding, both belong together; This conviction already guided the reformer Martin Luther. From the beginning, Protestantism was an educational movement.

The Ev. The Dortmund Church District fulfills its mission of education and upbringing in numerous fields of work. Enabling learning, imparting knowledge, clarifying attitudes, developing emotional, social, religious and personal skills – that’s what it’s all about in day care centers for children, in open all-day care, in religious education at general schools and vocational colleges, and in the work of the Ev. Youth, the “Voluntary Services” work area and, last but not least, in the Ev. Educational organization with its family and adult education offerings.
