“Once upon a time in winter, when snow fell from the sky, a queen sat at the window and sewed. She would have loved to have a child. And as she thought about it, she pricked her finger with the needle, so that three drops of blood fell into the snow. Then she made a wish and said: Oh, if only I had a child as white as snow, as red-cheeked as red blood and as black-eyed as this window frame. Soon after, she had a beautiful little daughter.”
The well-known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm with an imaginative Snow White and the fantasy of seven dwarves is played by Marie Bretschneider, directed by Ulrike Langenbein. The figures come from the wood sculptor Verena Waldmüller.
