The day before, a 50-year-old man from Amsterdam was also handcuffed. He is also a suspect in this case.
In the night of Friday February 29 to Saturday March 1 in 2020, a shed was set on fire. The stuff and fairground rides that were stored there turned to ashes, causing millions of euros in damage. The fire also broke out, causing several sheds to catch fire.
A police investigation has shown that the suspects with ‘a flammable liquid’ caused the fire in the part where the fairground attractions were stored. The fire also received national attention. Images of the incident were shown in the ‘Investigation Requested’ program on April 28, 2020.
Both men have yet to be questioned. The police are not ruling out more arrests.
