Zelensky spoke to Fareed Zakaria from CNN about the state of war today, and his side discussed the prospect of negotiations with Putin.
“Dialogue is the only way out,” he said.
“Russian forces came to destroy, kill us,” he added, Monday (21/3/2022).

“I think only the two of us, Putin and I, can make a deal on this,” he said.
“If this attempt fails, it means this is World War III,” Zelensky added.
The problem here is finding a compromise that both leaders will accept. Zelensky made it clear that he would not accept a deal under which Ukraine relinquished its territory.
“We have to create a model in which Ukraine will not lose its sovereignty, its territorial integrity,” he said.
