In their attempt to blow up an ATM in Offenbach in the Waldstraße – Bismarckstraße area early Friday morning (1.), the perpetrators had to leave without having achieved anything after a smoke screen system was triggered. A search is now underway for the two dark-clad men.
At around 4:40 a.m., the strangers tampered with the device, but after a few moments a fog system was triggered and blocked your view of the room. In the end, the perpetrators had no choice but to give up their plan and flee on foot.
It is also conceivable that the strangers had parked a vehicle near the bank and drove away with it. The crime scene team of the criminal police is currently securing traces left by the men on site. The Offenbach Criminal Police Office receives information about the crime on 069/8098-1234.
