Fahrunfähiger touches Parkhaus See – Ticket away

Between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning (May 7th, 2022), the cantonal police of St.Gallen stopped five road users who were driving their vehicle when they were unable to drive or were under the influence of alcohol. Two men had to surrender their driver’s licenses on the spot.

Friday, 4:30 p.m., Rapperswil-Jona: A 55-year-old driver hit the car park wall with his car when entering the See car park on the lower Bahnhofsstrasse. A patrol by the cantonal police of St.Gallen classified the man as unfit to drive, the public prosecutor’s office of the canton of St.Gallen ordered a blood and urine sample to be taken and the driver’s license was taken from him. The material damage caused is estimated at around 1,000 francs.

  • Friday, 9:40 p.m., Neuhaus, 36-year-old driver, under the influence of alcohol, evidential breath alcohol test showed a value of 0.45mg/l. Driver’s license removed
  • Saturday, 2:55 a.m., Altstätten, 23-year-old driver, under the influence of alcohol, further driving prohibited.
  • Saturday, 3:30 a.m., Gossau, 63-year-old cyclist, under the influence of alcohol, blood and urine samples taken by order of the public prosecutor of the canton of St.Gallen.
  • Saturday, 4:05 a.m., Oberriet, 43-year-old driver, under the influence of alcohol, further driving prohibited.
