Member of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Gerindra faction, Fadli Zon, considered that the tweet by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md regarding the General Attack on March 1, 1949 was wrong. Fadli asked Mahfud not to distort historical events General Offensive March 1, 1949.
This was disclosed by Fadli Zon on his Twitter account, as seen on Thursday (3/3/2022). Fadli Zon responded to a tweet from Mahfud Sukarno, Hatta, and Sudirman as the initiator of the March 1, 1949 General Offensive.
“Confused Mr. @mohmahfudmd. In the General Attack on March 1, 1949, Sukarno and Hatta were still in captivity in Menumbing,” said Fadli Zon. Fadli Zon’s jokes have been adapted to the spelling that goes on.
According to Fadli Zon, there was no idea of Sukarno and Hatta in the General Offensive of March 1, 1949, so what Mahfud Md called was wrong.
“The government is led by the PDRI (Indonesian Emergency Government) under Sjafroeddin Prawiranegara. There is no idea from Sukarno and Hatta in this incident. Don’t distort history!” wrote Fadli Zon.
The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md previously opened his voice regarding the polemic of the Republic of Indonesia Presidential Decree 2/2022 regarding the Enforcement of State Sovereignty. He conveyed that the presidential decree did not remove Suharto’s name from the history of the March 1, 1949 General Offensive.
“The presidential decree is not a history book, but the determination of a crucial historical point. The presidential decree does not eliminate the names of Suharto and others in the March 1, 1949 Sue,” Mahfud was quoted as saying. detik.com from his Twitter account @mohmahfudmd, Thursday (3/3).
