Gerindra Party politician Fadli Zon presented as one of the lightening witnesses in the alleged case of spreading hoaxes with the defendant being the speaker Bahar bin Smith at the Bandung Class IA District Court, Thursday (7/7).
The member of the Indonesian House of Representatives also explained that what Bahar Smith conveyed in a lecture at the Maulid Nabi event in Bandung Regency was close to reality. At that time, Bahar gave a lecture about the deaths of six FPI soldiers at KM 50 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road which occurred in December 2020.
During the trial, Fadli Zon was questioned by Bahar Smith’s attorney. Bahar’s lawyer initially asked about the veracity of Bahar’s lecture about the KM 50 incident at the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday in Margaasih, Bandung Regency.

Fadli also answered that the events at KM 50 that were conveyed by Bahar in a lecture were close to reality. He said he saw firsthand the condition of one of the bodies that had injuries.
“What Habib Bahar said is close to what happened to the corpse,” he said.
Fadli revealed, in early December 2020, he received a call from Habib Muhsin Alatas to help remove the bodies of six FPI members who were in the hospital. Then, he and several members of Commission III of the DPR visited the hospital where the six FPI members who had died were evacuated.
Fadli also admitted that the body had been in the hospital for quite a while and was reportedly being autopsied.
“From the victim’s family, they want their bodies to be received for prayer and burial, and of course we convey that the rights of the victim’s parents,” he said.
Fadli continued, the hospital will assist the burial process. But the family wanted the body to be brought to Petamburan at the request of the deceased’s parents. He also admitted that he arrived late to Petamburan when the first body was Andi Oktiawan (33), one of the six FPI soldiers who died in the KM 50 incident.
“That’s right, I saw the body directly when it was being washed, then at that time someone took a photo and someone showed the part that was suspected of having bullet wounds and so on,” said Fadli.
“At first glance, it’s because I’m not an expert, but there are lots of bruises on it. Yes, in the left eye of the corpse, there were visible wounds, then several stitches in several parts of the body, then other bruises that were not visible before the bath,” added Fadli.
Meanwhile, Bahar also asked about the condition of the other six FPI soldiers. Bahar said, circulating photos related to the condition of the FPI soldiers who died in the incident at KM 50.
“Besides I saw directly (one body), I also saw the photos. If I look at the photos and videos, it’s more or less the same for other bodies, there are allegations of torture, injuries, bruises. Did you see that the nails were removed? ?,” asked Bahar.
“Not directly,” said Fadli.
Bahar again asked Fadli about the photo of the victim who had her fingernails removed. Fadli also admitted that he had seen the photo. Bahar also asked about whether his lecture was a lie or not.
“I don’t think it’s a lie,” said Fadli in response to Bahar.
For information, Bahar’s speech in the case was recorded by another defendant in this case, Tatan Rustandi. Tatan’s recording which lasted 50 minutes 12 seconds was uploaded to his YouTube account under the name Tatan Rustandi Channel.
For his actions, Bahar bin Smith was charged with violating Article 14 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 1946 regarding criminal law regulations in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code as the first indictment as well as Article 15 paragraph 1 of Law No. 1 of 1947 concerning criminal law regulations Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
Bahar is also considered to have violated the criminal law in Article 28 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45A paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code as the second indictment. .
