BVThe Belgian comic con FACTS is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and this will be celebrated in a grand and musical manner. Flemish singer Gene Thomas (51) was asked to write a brand new song for that special occasion that summarizes the magic of this beloved pop culture event: this is ‘Stars In Your Eyes’.

In 1993, the first edition of the Ghent comic con FACTS was organized. Over 30 years, the event has grown into a household name that attracts visitors from all over Europe. Fans of all forms of pop culture came together to meet their great idols, make new friends or buy unique merchandise. To celebrate those 30 years, Gene Thomas wrote a magical ode to Belgium’s largest comic con festival.

The choice to choose Gene Thomas for the title song is no surprise. The singer is a regular at FACTS and found it a great honor to summarize the magic of FACTS in the song: “I am very honored that I was allowed to make a song for the 30th anniversary of the fantastic FACTS. The song ‘Stars In Your Eyes’ is about the stars you see in the eyes of everyone who walks around FACTS. You can be who you are there and you end up in a fantastic, magical world. During the FACTS weekend, everyone is simply a superhero.”
