The first expansion pack for the popular construction management simulation ‘Factorio’ is released.

On the 25th (local time), the Factorio development team released the first expansion pack information on the official website after 7 years of release. It’s called Factorio: Space Age, and it deals with the player’s journey after launching a space rocket.

In this expansion pack, you’ll discover different worlds with different challenges, use new resources for advanced technology upgrades, and manage a fleet of space stations connecting each planet. A total of four additional planets are included, all of which contain specific science packs and technology research.

The skill tree will also be rebalanced to improve the overall gameplay experience. The development team said, “When Space Age is activated, some items that can be used in vanilla on some planets in the future are unlocked. This will apply to some personal equipment upgrades, such as cliff explosives, artillery, and spidertrons.”

On the other hand, there was also a comparative story about ‘Space Exploration Mode’, one of the existing modes. Developer Earendel, who created the space exploration mode, said, “This expansion pack is aimed at most Factorio users, and has been simplified to about 60 to 100 hours.” As the setting is somewhat light, many users will be able to complete it.”

Factorio officially supports Korean and can be enjoyed on Nintendo Switch and PC. For more information on the expansion pack ‘Space Age’ that was released this time, official websitecan be checked through
