Facing Thailand in the U-23 AFF Cup Semifinals, Shin Tae Yong Praises the War Elephant Squad

FAJAR.CO.ID, RAYONG — The coach of the U-23 Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae Yong, revealed that the potential opponents in the semifinals of Thailand were the team with the best squad in the U-23 AFF Cup.

As is known, the U-23 Indonesian National Team managed to get out of the eye of a needle and advance to the semifinals of the U-23 AFF Cup because they were named the best runner up.

The U-23 Indonesian National Team match against Thailand itself will take place at the Rayong Province Stadium, Thursday (24/8/2023), at 21.00 WITA.

In the semifinals, the Garuda Muda Squad will face the host Thailand who managed to come out as the winner of Group A.

Ahead of this match itself, the coach of the U-23 Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae Yong, the performance of the four semifinals in the group phase was all quite good.

“As you know, the national teams of Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam have qualified for the semifinals,” said Shin Tae Yong at a press conference, Wednesday (23/8/2023).

“I believe every game that happens in the playoffs is all good,” he explained.

In fact, the coach from South Korea said that Thailand is the team with the best squad of the four teams that will compete in this semifinal.

“I think the Thai national team probably has the best squad in the tournament. And we will try to give our best in tomorrow’s match,” he said.

The Thai national team itself managed to advance to the semifinals after wiping out three matches with three wins and came out as group winners with a collection of 9 points.
