[이데일리 이순용 기자] At the end of the still chilly winter, when you go out on a cold day and come indoors, your face turns red and then disappears after a while. In some cases, facial flushing does not go away at all and remains red all the time.
Facial flushing like this is a symptom in which the blood vessels, once enlarged by capillary dilation, do not shrink on their own, and the blood collected under the skin is reflected on the skin and looks red. A person who has facial flushing and acne may appear drunken to others, or may even develop social phobia due to being mistaken for poor liver.
The cause of facial flushing has not been clearly identified, but if it is caused by an overreaction of the sympathetic nerve responsible for the contraction and relaxation signals of superficial blood vessels, if there is a family history or genetic tendency, if there is an inflammatory reaction that causes inflammation in the skin, There are various cases such as allergic reactions, long-term use of female hormones, when the balance of hormones is broken, and abnormal liver function.
Often, facial redness is replaced with functional or whitening cosmetics, skin whitening injections, or laser treatment. However, these attempts do not lead to fundamental improvement, but rather deteriorate.
Shim Yeong-gi, director of Yonsei S Clinic, said, “If you simply recognize facial flushing as a dermatological disease and try to remove the blood vessels by shooting lasers, you cannot solve the cause of the disease by burning only the pigment.” Facial flushing cannot be resolved by removing facial blood vessels or sclerotherapy.”
The treatment mainly performed by specialists who are familiar with angioplasty is sclerotherapy or vein extraction. Vascular sclerotherapy is a method in which a sclerotic agent that hardens (fibroses) blood vessel tissue is injected into the blood vessel with a thin injection needle to induce the gradual disappearance of capillaries like spider webs with a diameter of about 1 mm. Vein extraction is a surgical method that removes blood vessels with a diameter of 1 mm or more. Vascular ligation, which ties both ends of the problematic blood vessel, is also performed.
Director Shim Young-ki said, “Angioplasty is effective when an unsightly blood vessel with a diameter of 1 mm or more protrudes clearly, or when the symptoms have deteriorated enough to be clearly visible to the eye.” It is good to know how to distinguish whether it is a vein or vein, properly grasp the characteristics of the location of blood vessels, and find a vascular specialist with a lot of experience in the procedure.”
Severe facial flushing should be viewed as an incurable disease that rarely gets better on its own. He said, “For patients with moderate to severe facial flushing, the latest electrical stimulation treatment such as ‘L Cure Regen Therapy’ improves liver function and blood vessel conditions through the resurrection of blood vessel cells and the balance and harmony of autonomic nervous system functions, and provides regular nutrition. We can take a step closer to a fundamental treatment by combining intravenous nutrition injection therapy to supplement and lymphatic detoxification to decompose and discharge lymph debris.”
El Curegen therapy sends microcurrents of 100 to 800 microamperes (㎂) to the diseased cell unit deep under the skin with a high voltage of 1500 to 3000V. Through this, the electrically stimulated cells decompose and discharge lymph debris and promote metabolism so that new cells are formed. Regular execution of El Cure therapy can strengthen liver cells, sympathetic nerve cells, and blood vessel cells by activating and regenerating cells. In addition, cleansing the lymph fluid through lymphatic detoxification helps to improve facial flushing.
Along with this, efforts to maintain the health of blood vessels should be made in parallel. Sufficient fluid intake and sleep, regular exercise, balanced meals, and cutting down on alcohol, caffeine, and smoking are required.
