A woman recorded herself dancing on Monday in Naipyidó, capital of Burma, while in the background the beginning of the coup d’état by the Burmese army to the civil government was seen.
The protagonist is Khing Hnin Wai, an exercise instructor who recorded the video for a local contest. In the recording, he seems not to notice what is happening behind his back.
At post de Facebook in which he shared the video, he assures that he had been recording himself dancing near the Parliament. Shortly after, he posted several videos dancing near Parliament on other days.
He also indicated that he heard the helicopters and cars while he danced. “The police chiefs just smiled and looked at me, even wondering if I was going home and wishing me good luck.”
Khing Hnin Wai’s video became popular on forums like Reddit and users are already beginning to insert her dance in different situations, such as invasion of the US Capitol.
