Facebook joins the Christmas celebrations with a collection of stickers, avatars and other augmented reality effects that will add a festive touch to the social network.
This week, Facebook launched Augmented Reality effects, stickers and frames in Messenger Kids, as well as new thematic avatars and stickers for Messenger and the News Section, and new stickers for the # EsteAñoAprendíChallenge challenge in Mexico, with the intention of helping the families and friends to stay connected during the holidays, even from a distance.

Kids around the world can express their holiday spirit in December with a series of augmented reality effects, stickers and frames launching in the coming days.
Celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas with fun and interactive augmented reality effects, send something sweet to your friends and family with the gingerbread frame, or celebrate the new year with the 2021 glasses.
“Kids can easily take a festive selfie by opening the camera on the Messenger Kids platform and exploring the variety of filters.”
During this Christmas season, you can share your Avatar to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and in the coming days, New Years.
Avatars can be used in different ways, including in comments, profile photos, Stories and in Messenger, as they allow you to react and interact more authentically with family and friends through the application during this holiday season.
The social network owned by Mark Zuckerberg also launched a new set of stickers under the hashtag # EsteAñoAprendíChallenge, which works as a challenge in which people can share on Facebook and Instagram something they learned during this difficult year.
“Through a post, photo, video, or reel, people will be able to share a hobby, a meaningful lesson, the importance of something they learned or are grateful for, and invite their friends to join the challenge.”
