MENLO PARK, iNews.id – Facebook It’s rumored to be testing voice and video calling features in its main app. This option information was first reported by Bloomberg.
It was previously known that Facebook already had voice and video calling features, but was used as a standalone application for Facebook Messenger. Then Facebook removed Messenger from its main app in 2011 and officially removed it from the Facebook app in 2014.
The company created by Mark Zuckerberg has not shared any information on whether they plan to bring some of the features in Messenger back to the main Facebook app.
Messenger’s Director of Product Management told Bloomberg the following information. “You’ll start to see more of it over time,” he said, quoted from The Verge, Thursday (26/8/2021).
Facebook also confirmed it was “testing voice and video calling for users in a number of countries, including the United States.” The company did not reveal how many users were able to view or try out the feature.
“For a full-featured messaging, audio, and video calling experience, people should continue to use Messenger,” Facebook said.
