The tender images of a pregnant dog captivated thousands of Facebook users and others social networks, since its owner exhorted citizens to adopt and be aware of animal welfare.
Caitie Evers, a Houston rescuer (U.S), he counted in his account of social networks who found her pet weeks before she gave birth to her puppies, who have become the cocky of her home.
The mascot named Lily-Mae gave birth to eight puppies, who also became the protagonists of the session carried out by the photographer Shauna Kiely.
According to Caitie, three days after taking the snapshots that became viral, her dog gave birth to her young.
“Lily-Mae got pregnant on the streets and it’s lucky we found her when we did. If she had given birth without a suitable home, the cubs would not have survived, ”the young woman wrote on Facebook.
Caitie is a rescuer who, since 2014, has worked full time in the rescue of abandoned pets. To date, he has already saved the lives of 195 dogs in his area and fortunately all have managed to obtain an adoptive family.
All eight Lily-Mae puppies will also be adopted when they are old enough.
“I would be very happy to find a good home for them,” added Evers on his Facebook account.
