Some images shared on Facebook showed the precise moment in which a squirrel was rescued by firefighters from Austin, Texas (USA). The residents of the town called the rescuers when they saw the rodent in trouble, since it had been left with its head stuck in the hole of an old tree.
In the clip shared in the social media from the Austin Fire Department the animal could be seen with its body protruding and its head on the oak branch.
In order to free it, the man held the back of the animal, while a colleague illuminated the area with a flashlight. After two long minutes, the specialist released the squirrel, which ran across the lawn.
The video The rescue has been seen hundreds of times and has generated a lot of comments in favor of the noble task of firefighters.
“Great job, guys”, “I hope the owners of the house where the tree is plugging that hole and making sure no one is inside”, “Poor squirrel. Good job, Austin firefighters ”, were some of the messages left in the Facebook post.
