Several Instagram users have received a notification that the private messages within the app are going to see some changes.
Among these, new colors, the possibility of reacting with emojis (and no longer just a heart), or the swap option to respond to any message.
But what catches the eye, it is a mention announcing that Instagram will allow “chat with your friends who use facebook.” In other words, it means that from Instagram private messages it will be possible to chat with users on Messenger.
Users who received this notification then had the choice to switch immediately to this new version of the application, or keep the current one for now. If the update is done, the private messages icon, represented on Instagram by a paper airplane, is then replaced by the Messenger icon. Namely a speech balloon with a lightning bolt inside.
But if the Messenger icon is clearly visible on Instagram, the exchange of messages between the two platforms does not seem to have been activated yet. And it will be necessary to be patient before being able, as Mark Zuckerberg always wished, to chat with users of Instagram, WhatsApp or Messenger, regardless of the application used.
