Facebook post suggests closeness to lateral thinkers – head of the youth section of the Paderborn Theater in need of explanation: Everything is only meant ironically? – OWL

In it, she reacts to the report that the actor Volker Bruch (“Babylon Berlin”) has submitted a membership application to the still young party “Die Basis” with the words “Me too. And now?”. A user had previously commented on Volker Bruch’s announcement with “The lap remains fertile”. The party, which was founded in July 2020, is said to be close to those who trivialize the Corona and Holocaust and to parties like the AfD.

A former employee of the Paderborn Theater told WESTFÄLISCHEN VOLKSBLATT with a view to the Facebook post: “I think it is extremely worrying that the lady who is now responsible for the children and youth program of the Paderborn Theater is a member of a party seeks, which is primarily noticeable through lateral thinker mood and no demarcation to the right. Can one therefore assume that Ms. Neukampf agrees with the political attitudes of the lateral thinker movement or, as was recently read in the ‘Tagesspiegel’, with the attitudes of a party to which Holocaust-neglected persons also belong? And how can that be reconciled with working at a theater that hit the headlines just a few years ago because of an advertisement by the AfD and speaks out against extremism and right-wing ideas on stage? ”

Paulina Neukampf informed this newspaper that she did not belong to the “Die Basis” party. And further: “But I count myself among those people who find ironic communication among friends sympathetic. And the said Facebook post is nothing else to be seen. ”But she takes the demand seriously and sees it as a great interest in the theater and as the head of the Jott children’s and youth division.

On its website, the “Die Basis” party speaks of a “corona scandal” and insinuates that politicians and the media keep the population “in a state of constant fear and worry”. “Big Pharma” have “hijacked” the governments in order to sell vaccines. Germany seems to her to seem like a dictatorship: “With the measures that were taken in 2020, the loss of our free-democratic basic order goes hand in hand with the emergency law.”

The Paderborn historian Peter Fäßler attests that the party has “populist traits”. They claim the country is ruled by the elites instead of the people. She also rejects the government’s corona protective measures and advises people to trust their own expertise. The historian told this newspaper: “The party is not ready to accept the expertise of epidemiologists and virus researchers – and certainly not the government’s health policy measures.” However, the existence of Corona is not being denied. The expert explained that the basis is at home in the esoteric-anthroposophical area. Instead of representative democracy with the representation of the people in parliaments, the party would like direct democracy with referendums. Because the party is “a strongly event-related foundation”, Peter Fäßler considers it possible that it will disappear again after the end of the corona pandemic: “Many will then probably continue to be active in the AfD environment.”

Speaking of AfD: The Paderborn theater clashed with her in the summer of 2018. As reported several times, the way in which Max Frisch’s play “Andorra” had been announced in the season booklet prompted the AfD district association to file criminal charges against the theater for defamation and sedition. In a graphic under the Nazi swastika and the AfD logo, the significantly increased election results of the NSDAP from 1928 and 1932 and the AfD from 2013 to 2017 were placed one below the other and supplemented by two numbers – that of the six million murdered Jews and the of the 681 anti-Semitic crimes in Germany in the first half of 2017. While the AfD felt equated with the NSDAP, the director Katharina Kreuzhage said that the graphics were covered by artistic freedom and did not suggest that all AfD members would appreciate the Holocaust. The criminal complaint remained without consequences.

Back to the “The Basis” party. The Ministry of the Interior did not answer the question whether it was being observed by the NRW Constitutional Protection Department directly: “The NRW Constitutional Protection Agency does not provide any information about its objects of observation beyond the organizations mentioned in the Constitutional Protection Report an organization is actually observed or not ”.
