Facebook offers free workshops to rural women

There is talent in the world, sometimes the only thing missing is a push to detonate it. So it is with ‘Extraordinary’, project created in 2019 by Facebook Y Cybervolunteers Foundation, which pretends offer free digital marketing workshops to women who do not have access to these courses and who want to boost their business.

In its second edition, entitled ‘Digital Competences to Grow from Local to Global’, the idea is to train a thousand women from rural areas throughout Spain.

Likewise, the program is made up of several levels of studies, with different teaching methods.

These range from creating business profiles on Facebook or Instagram, up to ad generation.

Free Facebook workshops will now be virtual

Due to the pandemic, the free workshops offered by Facebook will not be able to be held in person as was previously done in different autonomous communities. Thus, Zona from Facebook Y Cybervolunteers Foundation they made a series of adjustments to the program to make it totally virtual. And it worked really well!

In addition, you can already access these courses from the website, or request it through the development areas of NGOs and local councils in Spain.

Once the registration is made, the interested parties will receive the available dates to be able to take the free workshops offered by Facebook virtually.

But this is not all, aware of today’s digital needs, Facebook recently launched new services and tools, such as ‘Stores’, what make it easy for any business to create a store online which customers can access both in Facebook as on Instagram.

Mark Zuckerberg’s company has also offered so far 100 million dollars in support to 30 thousand SMEs in more than 30 countries, including Spain.

For this and more, it is worth remembering the importance of digital services, how well they can be used. And, above all, to recognize the companies committed to these philanthropic actions.
