The owner of the social network “Facebook” “Meta” launched the update of the communication tool “Messenger”, which its users have wanted for years, the media “Unilad” writes.
Until now, the quality of images that people sent to others using Messenger was severely compromised. The app update has fixed this disadvantage.
Namely, from now on “Messenger” will be able to send pictures to others in their original, good quality. To enable this feature, when you want to send a picture to someone, press the “HD” button before sending the picture.
The ability to send high-quality images is not the only update – users will now also be able to create shared albums with friends.
To create an album in a group chat, select images from your gallery in the app and press the “Create album” button. Once created, you can then select other images to add to the album.
After that, everyone in the group will be able to view, add, delete and download photos from the album.
Meta has also increased the size of files that can be sent via Messenger, explaining that you will no longer have to rely on email to send large files. The app now allows you to send files up to 100MB in size, with Word, PDF and Excel supported formats.
Finally, the Messenger app will also allow you to generate QR codes that other people can use to add you to their friends list. This means you will no longer need to enter a person’s first name, last name or number to find them in the app.
