Facebook Messenger’s “Split Payments” aim to organize expenses

“If you’re struggling to split (and get paid for) group meals, shared household expenses, or even the monthly rent, it will soon be easier,” the Facebook Messenger team said in the press release.

The company didn’t provide much detail about the split payments. It appears from the promotional image provided that it is designed for use in Messenger group chats.
