During the last weeks, privacy in messages has taken a very high value due to changes in the WhatsApp policy. This proposal ensured that they would share data with Facebook but that they would not be able to access the conversations of its users.

The reason this happens is that the message encryption offered by WhatsApp cannot be applied to Facebook Messenger groups. Furthermore, this function is not activated by default in direct messages.
Doffman considers that WhatsApp continues as the best option for messaging, but that the user should be concerned with ensuring the highest security. Other applications such as Telegram and Signal are positioned as great options. (I)
