The chat support service should be able to help users and small content creators regain access to their account.
When you lose access to your Facebook account, it can be difficult to reach an employee of the social network to unblock it or to obtain the reasons for its blocking. In order to make this process smoother, Facebook announced that it has started testing live chat to improve its user support services.
This first test focuses on users who cannot access their account due to unusual activity or whose accounts have been suspended due to a violation of community standards. This is the first time that Facebook has offered live help to people whose accounts are blocked. The service should allow them to get help to clarify the situation and possibly regain control of the account.
The feature is also aimed at small content creators who don’t have an agent or PR manager who could help them get in touch with Facebook easily. With this new help desk, users will be able to chat with a Facebook employee live to get help with their issues.
« We are committed to making Facebook a safe and supportive platform for creators to create and interact with their community. Today we share some updates on these ongoing efforts ”, says Meta in a press release. “This is just a small test for now, and as we grow, creators will receive an invitation on Facebook to join the test and explore the new support experience. “
Along with this new service, Facebook says it has designed a new comment moderation system for Facebook Live. This system must make it possible to block keywords, to obtain moderation assistance to automatically hide internet links or images, to block a user, even if he recreates new accounts and finally to obtain a dedicated space for show hidden comments.
For now, this live chat is for Americans only. It should be extended later if the feedback is successful.
