Dozens of researchers and some thirty organizations that monitor the respect of human rights on the Internet have raised the alarm after detecting a “systematic campaign” by the main social networks to “silence” the profiles of journalists and activists who are documented Israel’s violence in Gaza. The international NGO Access Now, which is leading the protests, reports having “received hundreds of notices that social platforms are suppressing hashtags of Palestinian protests, blocking live broadcasts and deleting posts and accounts.”
