Millions of people in the world have or have ever had a Facebook, a platform where all kinds of content are shared and users can interact through ‘likes’, comments or shares.
However, many Internet users have wanted to say goodbye to the social network to erase any trace of their publications or interactions.

Note that blocking an account is not the same as deleting it, here we explain how to delete it permanently.
Step by Step
The first thing to know is that after deleting the account you will not be able to recover any type of information that you had on the social network.
- In the web version select the arrow that is located in the upper right corner.
- Press the option ‘Settings and privacy’.
- Click on ‘Information’ / ‘Your Facebook information’ / ‘Deactivation and deletion’ / ‘Permanently delete account’ / ‘Continue with account deletion’ / ‘Delete account’.
- Facebook will ask for the password, enter it and then click ‘Continue’.

Until when can you cancel the account deletion?
You will have 30 days to cancel the operation, after this time all your information will be deleted and you will not be able to recover it.
If you want to cancel the cancellation do the following: log in to Facebook and click on ‘Cancel deletion’.

What happens if you delete the account?
- You will not be able to reactivate the account.
- All content will be permanently deleted.
- You will no longer be able to use Facebook Messenger.
- You will not be able to use Facebook login in other apps where you have signed up with that Facebook account.
