Tracking down a scammer on Facebook
Social networks of the Meta branch (Instagram, Facebook…) often receive criticism over misinformation. However, Facebook has allowed a great show of solidarity this time. A dealer Ford to UNITED STATES launched an appeal to its online community following an incident. A man named Ryan Duval purchased a 2020 Ford F-250 from his dealership with a fake check. This Ford F-250 is valued at approximately 50 000 euros and therefore left the dealership without a real payment.
In a Facebook publication, the dealership therefore shared photos of Ryan Duval to increase his chances of finding the stolen vehicle. On this same publication, it was specified that Ryan had been contacted without success. Furthermore, a reward $1,000 was offered for information leading to the location of the stolen pickup. THE detectives budding were nevertheless warned not to approach this individual who is renowned for numerous offenses and offenses of all kinds.
