Facebook just removed more than a thousand accounts that refer to the Buenos Aires Minister of Security Sergio Berni. These are supposed users who showed a suspicious behavior, having no followers and “amplify” in an “inauthentic” way certain types of messages.
I do not know if these messages were in favor or oppossing of the justicialist referent. However, the company that Mark Zuckerberg runs reported that it had located Facebook (663) and Instagram (388) They fell into an “inauthentic amplification of publications and news articles.”
Like many of the politicians who seek to establish themselves in the “big leagues”, Berni has just hired an advertising agency to help you work on your image. But from their environment they quickly came out to say that banned users they were “trolls“ who sought to harm the minister.
The attack, if any, may have come from the opposition, but nobody rules out that it has come from sectors of the Peronism itself who do not look favorably on the rise of the medical doctor.
Facebook’s report underscores that its measures focus on “find and stop coordinated campaigns that seek to manipulate the public debate in applications”.
