Lhe Minister of Justice Vincent Van Quickenborne warned the population on Monday against any scam and phishing attempt after the data leaked by three million Belgians using the social network Facebook.
As a result of the leak, their phone numbers, email addresses, and other data were shared in a forum for hackers, who could use them for Internet scam purposes.
The leak targeted more than half a billion users of the Facebook network, including 3.18 million Belgians.
The stolen data includes users’ phone numbers, Facebook ID, full name, home, date of birth and email address.
