“Facebook Bug: Automatically Sending Friend Requests When Viewing Profiles”

A Facebook bug has chilled the blood of many users – this one makes it so that when you enter someone’s profile, we automatically send a friend request to that person. Ouch!

I’m sure we’ve all looked at someone’s profile at some point on Facebook – the last thing we want at this point is for that person to know, right? Well, Facebook’s latest bug has caused some users to do just that!

It turns out that Facebook happened … spontaneously send invitation to friends of people whose profiles we viewed.

Such a glitch was recently reported by Internet users, and we can take a look at it in the video attached to the tweet below:

As you can see, there is no accidental pressing of the invite button. Facebook decided to take care of the matter for us – even when we really didn’t want it.

Worse, canceling the invitation was not possible at all! All we could do was wait for the other side to move. It is also worth noting that the fault appeared only in mobile applications – both for both Android and iOS.

Facebook bug fixed

The good news is that this bug has already been fixed:

We fixed a bug with a recent app update where some Facebook friend requests were sent by mistake. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Meta explains.

I do not know if after such a slip-up some “stalkers” will not want to wander around the profiles

Some TikTok users wonder what’s worse – being caught spying on someone’s profile, or the fact that we haven’t received any invitation? 😉
