Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta Platforms is finalizing a subscription service called Meta Verified which will include additional benefits and features, including account verification badges for those who pay, Twitter-style.
The new subscription, which will be contracted separately for each of the social networks, will cost $11.99 per month (11.18 euros) or $14.99 (13.98 euros) if purchased through the iOS application, and it is primarily aimed at content creators.
In addition to a verification badge, the subscription includes “proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach“, Meta spokesperson explained in a statement collected by Bloomberg.
