Social networks Facebook and Instagram will allow users in certain countries to incite violence against Russian citizens and soldiers amid the invasion of Ukraine, according to internal emails seen by Reuters on Thursday.
These platforms will also temporarily allow certain posts calling for the death of Russian President Vladimir Putin or Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. According to the news agency – which has had access to a series of internal emails to content moderators – these calls for the death of leaders will only be authorized if they have no other targets, nor two Credibility indicators, such as location or method, refers to CNN.
