With its cryptocurrency project, Facebook wanted to “change the world”. Three years after its official launch, the group led by Mark Zuckerberg has thrown in the towel. Originally, this cryptocurrency was called libra and its accompanying digital wallet, Calibra.
In 2020, Facebook decides to change the name of the wallet to Novi, and that of the cryptocurrency to diem. Finally, last year, the group changed its name itself to Meta.
