Facebook Adds Videos to Marketplace Ads for Enhanced Shopping Experience

Facebook added the videos to Facebook Marketplace Ads. Users can request a video to help them in the purchase decision stage. In short, it is a very necessary form of content, because you can perceive what the product is like, consider the dimensions, among others.

Videos on Facebook Marketplace Ads: an expected feature for users

In a official statement released by SMTFacebook notes:

«We recently enabled video in the Marketplace, allowing sellers to record or upload video to their listings so you can shop with confidence. While photos can help you figure out what an item looks like, how big it might be, and any issues or defects it might have, video can give you 360-degree views of an item, further proof that the item a seller has listed for sale is what it says it is and that you actually have the item on hand, which makes the checkout process smoother and more secure.”

It is a fact that Meta has had a series of problems integrating e-commerce into its platforms. Cases such as live purchases and IG purchases have not borne as much fruit as initially expected. While the company has significantly reduced these programs, the Marketplace is a valuable and ongoing asset.

One of the most relevant insights that the company has given is that the Marketplace was used by one billion people in 2021. The ability to connect with local buyers and sellers has given it good results, offering good levels of engagement.

It is not surprising that we will see Reels integrated into the Marketplace in the near future, which would give even more wings to a platform that has been one of the biggest successes, in the midst of several failures.
