Face-to-face conference on new strategies for organic production

Next Tuesday, February 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.a face-to-face and free conference will take place at the Cajamar Experimental Station (Paraje las Palmerillas, 25 of El Ejido, Almería) on ‘New strategies for ecological production’.

The program plans to analyze different factors that improve nutrition under certain fertilization strategies, how biostimulants favor the production and quality of the fruits and the implementation of new biological control technologies that result in more environmentally friendly products, in line with consumer demands and the European strategy ‘From farm to farm’. table’. The call includes a visit to a comparative trial of organic and conventional agriculture in a greenhouse tomato crop.

Agriculture must guarantee the food supply of a constantly growing society, but promoting a sustainable, healthy and safe system, as well as profitable. For more efficient organic farming, crop nutrition must be a primary factor to ensure sustainable use of inputs, along with a high level of biodiversity and preservation of natural resources.

This activity is part of the projects; HORT-OBSER-Tic (Operative group that is subsidized by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, FEADER and by the Junta de Andalucía) and Smartprotect (financed by the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union (GA 862563), with the collaboration of the company Herogra Especiales.
