Feyenoord and Benfica are still talking about the last details to complete the transfer of Fredrik Aursnes, transfer expert reports Fabrizio Romano. This morning it became clear that the Rotterdammers will only bite if the Portuguese increased the first bid by millions.
Feyenoord no longer had the financial need to accept Benfica’s first offer after the sale of Marcos Senesi. The Rotterdammers therefore continued to hold on to the asking price, which is said to be above fifteen million euros.
Aursnes has already reached a personal agreement with Benfica about a multi-year contract. The 26-year-old midfielder still has a contract in De Kuip until mid-2024 and previous talks to extend his contract have come to nothing.
