Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Yamaha racer Fabio Quartararo commenting on the condition of the Mandalika Circuit ahead Mandalika MotoGP 2023October 13-15.
Fabio Quartararo was one of the MotoGP racers who arrived early for the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP. The French racer arrived around last week and first enjoyed a holiday in Bali.
Currently Quartararo is in Lombok in final preparations ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP. This can be seen in the video uploaded by Trans7 as the holder of MotoGP broadcasting rights in Indonesia.
In the video uploaded to Instagram, Fabio Quartararo is seen running around the Mandalika Circuit track.
While running, Quartararo met the Main Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MPGA) Priandhi Satria who was monitoring the cleaning of the track.
“Perfect,” said Quartararo in response to Priandhi’s question about the cleanliness of the Mandalika Circuit track.
“Some corners are just a little dirty, but still okay,” added Quartararo.
Priandhi Satria explained that his party is working hard to run the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP race successfully. One way is to keep the track clean.
“There, clean. Use it road sweeper the Indonesian version,” said Priandhi.
“So road sweaper that was seen earlier. I want to buy a water sprinkler, if you buy one nozzle it’s US$5 thousand, five times it’s US$25 thousand [sekitar] IDR 350 million,” said Priandhi continued.
However, in order to keep the quality of the Mandalika Circuit good but by reducing costs, MGPA finally made a track cleaning or sprinkler tool.
“We wanted a clean circuit, but it was cheap and cheap, so we finally made the tool ourselves. After IDR 7.5 million, the result was this,” said Priandhi.
“You heard it yourself, the circuit is clean. Just wait until Thursday, the A homolohasi will come out,” added Priandhi.
