Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Monster Energy Yamaha racer Fabio Quartararo was blown away by the reception it received ahead of time Mandalika MotoGP 2023.
Quartararo is one of the racers who arrived in Indonesia long before the race at the Mandalika Circuit next weekend.
The French racer is known to be in Bali before leaving for Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. In his latest Instastory upload, Quartararo displays a photo of a bouquet of flowers spread out in a garden.
The caption read, “Thank you” in French. Apart from that, there is the number 20 which is the motorbike number and Quartararo’s nickname, namely El Diablo.
Amazed by this friendliness, Quartararo also expressed his praise.
“Thank you very much! Indonesian people are really cool!!! Next is Mandalika,” wrote Quartararo while adding a red and white heart emoji.

Quartararo this season is still having difficulty competing with other racers on the race track. The 2021 MotoGP world champion is ranked 10th with 111 points.
Quartararo’s best achievement was finishing third in the United States MotoGP and Indian MotoGP.
Heading into the Mandalika MotoGP, Quartararo has a good memory because he finished the race in runner-up position last year. Quartararo actually occupied pole position, but was unable to compete with Miguel Oliveira in the race which took place on a circuit that was wet due to the rain.
