The Casinotheater Winterthur is showing its own production «Forever Young» with hits from the 70s to today, the premiere is on September 5th
Fabienne Louves plays a geriatric nurse who gets on the nerves of a cheerful elderly flat share. However, they don’t let this take away their zest for life.
Premiere It is the year 2045. The Casino Theater has long since closed and serves as a retirement home for a handful of old people. In the evenings they sit together on the stage and relive their former successes. If only it weren’t for the strict geriatric nurse, played by Fabienne Louves. The editorial team asked the actress and singer how the rehearsals are going and what she likes about Winterthur.
What can the audience expect?
“Forever Young” is a journey into the future of retired actors. They spend an evening together in the long-closed Casino Theater, which is now their retirement home. The play is packed with great music, lots of humor and beautiful emotions.
Rehearsals have been going on for some time, how are they going?
Very good! We are currently working on the final details until the acting, sound and lighting fit together perfectly. We are looking forward to the premiere this Thursday and are excited to see the audience’s reaction.
What can you tell us about your role?
I play a geriatric nurse who is very strict, but also enjoys making music with the pensioners.
Have you had time to explore the city of Winterthur? Which places do you like best?
I find it so nice to stroll around Winterthur, there are sooo many great Shops. I almost have to hope that we don’t have too many breaks in rehearsals so that I don’t go shopping too much (laughs). The restaurant in Casinotheater cooks very, very finely, I can only recommend it.
Is there a funny story about the rehearsals in the Casino Theater tell?
At the end of the play I fell off the sofa because I lost my balance. That wasn’t planned. And it was very funny for the others, since they play the frail old people and keep stumbling.
