The coach went to recharge his batteries with his family in his small village in Lot, surrounded by his father, Jean-Noël, who is mayor of this small village of 300 inhabitants and his children. To celebrate the new year, the coach of the XV of France traveled with his son Mathis to the other side of the Atlantic, heading to the United States and the city of New York. It was his son, aged 21, who published a series of photos from this getaway to the Big Apple. Very active on Instagram, the handsome kid, talented and a rugby player like his father, went to admire the famous Statue of Liberty and we can see in the photos that he looks a lot like his father.

Beret on his head and glasses on his eyes, the coach, disgusted by the refereeing during the World Cup, seems to be having a great time with his son and his friends in the streets of the American megalopolis. The small team even took the opportunity to go watch a basketball match at the Brooklyn Nets, rapper Jay-Z’s team.
A great moment for the coach, who was able to unwind with a year full of emotion. After the failure of the World Cup, he found himself under fire from criticism and an influential consultant did not hesitate to destroy Fabien Galthié by asserting that he “can’t stand it anymore”.
