Manchester City beat Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Manchester City eliminated their rivals Chelsea from the FA Cup after beating them 4-0 in the fourth round of the tournament on Sunday.
Manchester City opened the scoring in the first half, with a signature free kick from Algerian Riyad Mahrez in the 23rd minute, and Julian Alvarez added the second goal for the “Citizens” from a penalty in the 30th minute.
Manchester City’s offensive tide ended with Phil Foden’s third goal in the 38th minute, so the first period ended with the home side leading (3-0).
In the second half, the pressing of the hosts continued, in the total absence of Chelsea, and in the 85th minute Riyad Mahrez scored again his second personal goal of the game and the fourth for his team from a penalty kick, so much so that the ended with the victory of Manchester City (4-0).
