F1 shows discreet compliance between Verstappen and Hamilton after GP

A tense rivalry between Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who fight for the title of the current season of Formula 1, had a moment of “break” after the US GP, held yesterday (watch below).

After Dutchman’s close victory, who finished the race just a second ahead of the Briton, the cameras focused on the drivers waiting for a salute after the cars exited. The fact, initially, did not happen.

On the official Formula 1 Twitter, however, a brief “punch” of hands between the two came out, already in the covered area and away from the public.

In the images, published last night, it is possible to see both Verstappen and Hamilton with their arms outstretched and greeted each other. The two are standing next to Lando Norris (McLaren).

With the victory, the Red Bull driver opened 12 points of advantage for the British Mercedes in the table. Now, Verstappen has 287.5 points against 275.5 for the seven-time champion.
